Follow the Global Leader

Mobility is not just a trend.? It is here to stay and vendors are continually strengthening this aspect of their portfolio along with removing any road blocks businesses may have implementing and supporting a mobile and BYOD strategy.? Worldwide, there are many key players in the industry but it was recently announced that the IDC, an industry analyst firm, has given Avaya the top honors of the 2012 Global Leader in Mobile Unified Communications and Collaboration.?

The IDC examined several criteria but it boiled down to two distinct advantages, current capabilities and long term strategies?both of which Avaya possesses, making it the industry champion.

Avaya?s Unified Communications portfolio boasts its Mobile Collaboration solution that features the new Avaya Aura? Conferencing 7.0 which enables voice and web collaboration on any device through a dedicated client/internet browser and the Avaya Flare? Experience that can be used on the Apple iPad and now with the new version, Windows PC and laptops.? I think the coolest feature of this solution is the ability to actually control and manage the call straight from your smart phone if you are the moderator.? Also, a feature referred to as Minutes ? users can record and edit meeting notes for later review.
